When she mentioned the Himalayas, I immediately thought of Tibet. I was surprised when I looked in the encyclopedia and found that Katmandu is a city in Nepal. It sits on a plateau 4000 feet above sea level and is surrounded by very high mountains. The Himalayan mountain range has the highest mountains in the world and forms the northern border of Nepal and China. I did not know the Himalayas extended that far. I do not believe Nancy had this information either. It would have been more natural for her to say she was in Tibet when thinking of the Himalayas. Apparently the memory was real, because it was not conforming to what our conscious minds would fantasize. The strange little people did not seem to fit, but all of this would be explained before the session was over.
